All Wiley X frames and lenses are ANSI Z87.1+ is the gold standard of certifications in the US from the American National Standards Institute, a body establishing and approving industry-wide standards. This means Wiley X eyewear must withstand the impact of a .25” diameter steel ball traveling 150 fps (ANSI High-Velocity Impact Test), and the impact of a 1.1 lb. projectile dropped from a height of 50" (ANSI High-Mass Impact Test).
