Association in a local newspaper, he knew he wanted to be involved. As a competitive high school golfer himself, his love for the game and respect for warriors came together to form the North Texas Warrior Golf Association.

The NTWGA is a mental health wellness organization with a mission to help transition combat-wounded veterans “warriors” into civilian life. They accomplish that noble effort through rehabilitative golfing and social experiences, impacting hundreds of veteran’s lives.

The primary program offered by the NTWGA is an eight-week instructional golf clinic held each spring, first offered in 2013. They also host regular golf outings throughout the year, and coordinate participation for warrior golfers in corporate and charity golfing events.

In 2015, the NTWGA became a 100% warrior-led program, with their entire Board of Directors and Warrior Ambassadors team having all experienced the therapeutic benefits of warrior-focused golfing programs. They are committed to paying those benefits forward and improving veteran’s lives through the game of golf.

These opportunities are shared with other warriors wounded or injured in post-9/11 military operations. This program is 100% warrior-led and has helped over 120 wounded veterans since 2011.
